Teresa Taylor
Veterinarian
I joined Cat Care of Rochester Hills in July of 2021. I obtained my B.S. in Zoology and Doctorate ofVeterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. I graduated with my DVM in 2006 and started working
in feline only medicine that same year. At one point, I tried practicing for a short time at a small animal practice, but realized I was happiest tending to my feline patients and returned to practicing feline medicine in Ann Arbor.
Now I’m happy to be back in Rochester Hills where I grew up and appreciate a shorter commute! I enjoy the challenges of internal medicine and geriatric medicine. I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and American Association of Feline Practitioners.
I live in Metro Detroit with my fiancé and two cats. I am partial to adopting vision-impaired cats and presently have a sweet, innocent double-enucleated kitty named Socket. We added fully- sighted Ka$h to our household in 2020. He is prone to burning through his nine lives as he was found as a kitten dangling from a rope around his neck and then got himself stuck in an apartment ceiling for over a month when his owners moved and left him. He suckered us into adopting him and spending quite a bit of time and money to get him back to health. Now he is a little handsome terror and likes to tackle the unsuspecting blind cat (he’s lucky he’s so cute!). When not tending to cats, I prefer to spend most of my time outdoors and you’ll often find me gardening. I also love Michigan State Basketball, spending time with my niece and nephews, all things Halloween, cooking, reading, hiking, and traveling.
