Tamara Sloan, DVM

Chief of Staff

I joined Cat Care of Rochester Hills in March of 2004. Since my husband, Pat, who is not a veterinarian, refers to me as “The Crazy Cat Lady,” I guess I have the perfect job!

Although I grew up with multiple kitties in the Chicago suburbs, I attended the University of Michigan undergrad because I planned to follow my dad into human medicine. Late in my senior year I realized that I would rather treat meowy four-footed patients, so I took a year off and applied to vet school. I graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in Champaign-Urbana in 2002. My husband and I immediately moved back to Southeast Michigan, where I worked for almost two years at a small animal practice before landing my dream job here at Cat Care of Rochester Hills.

Pat and I live with our three cats in the western suburbs. Morrolan (aka Roly Badger) is our very dapper black and white Tuxedo chap. Seamus (“shaymus”) is the cutest, sweetest buff and white boy EVER, in my totally biased opinion! His sister, Aine (“awwwwn-ya”), is a beautiful brown tabby girl with hints of tortoiseshell on her back.
